The Op
USAopoly began in 1994 with the idea of putting a hometown spin on the classic Monopoly game. Focusing at first on cities, San Diego was the first edition of its Monopoly games. It expanded to include colleges, NASCAR, Coca-Cola and The Simpsons in that line, then branched out to produce interesting versions of other classic games, such as Chess, Checkers, Tic Tac Toe, Dominoes, Backgammon, Bingo, Cribbage, Poker and Bunco.
Over the years, USAopoly expanded its portfolio to include other licensed favorites such as Clue, Munchkin, Trivial Pursuit, Codenames and more. Today, the company has expanded even further to include original family, party, hobby games and puzzles to become a diverse game publisher.
In 2019, USAopoly changed its name to The Op, but it still refers to itself as USAopoly on its website and in its branding.
